Sunderland, Vermont is located just east of Arlington, Vermont and just south of Manchester, Vermont. Chartered in 1761, it is home to less than 1,000 people but offers its own elementary school with school choice to Arlington or Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester for secondary education. Several Country neighborhoods have been added to the demographics of the town since the 1970’s. These owners enjoy newer housing and peaceful surroundings. Sunderland is known for its Battenkill River, Chiselville Covered Bridge and is the home to the nationally renowned Orvis Company Mail Order facility.
